What does a student need from a phone?
A student mainly uses an iPhone for notes, social media, streaming, online lectures and photo/video for school projects. The key is long software support, decent battery life and a reasonable price that won't ruin the semester.
What to look for when choosing:
- 128GB capacity is a sensible minimum — photos, apps and podcasts will all fit.
- Battery at 86-100% — lasts a full day of lectures without a power bank.
- Grade A or Like New condition — minor signs of use, but visually flawless.
- 2-year warranty — covers the whole academic year and the holidays too.

Our recommended pick for students. OLED display, MagSafe, 5G connectivity, A14 Bionic chip. iOS 18 runs smoothly, and software support is expected to run at least until 2028. At the current price (see the range below), you won't find better value anywhere.
Tip 2: iPhone 13 (from 8,990 Kč) — if you want longer battery life
The iPhone 13 adds a better battery (up to 19 hours of video), Cinematic mode for video and a slightly stronger A15 Bionic chip. If you record a lot of video at school events or you're a more demanding user, the extra ~1,000 Kč is worth it.
Tip 3: iPhone 13 mini (from 8,990 Kč) — the compact option
If you prefer a small phone that fits in your pocket or hand, the iPhone 13 mini is an ideal student choice today. A 5.4" OLED display, the full performance of the iPhone 13, and a very good price. Note — the battery lasts less time than on the larger models.
Tip 4: iPhone 11 — the minimum that makes sense
For students with a really tight budget, the iPhone 11 is still an excellent phone. LCD display, A13 chip, 4G connectivity and flawless battery life. iOS 18 runs on it without a hitch. This model isn't currently in our range though — the available alternative is the iPhone 12.
